We donate a portion of our sales to charitable organizations who help to protect Animal Rights, Human Rights and the Environment or who fight for Racial Equality & Social Justice. The organizations are full of hard working volunteers who work on the ground caring for our neighbors, our animal friends and our shared home. These are the charities we are currently working with...

 

Soaps

 

We are part of a coordinated effort to donate soaps that benefit three domestic violence shelters and one homeless shelter on the East Coast, USA. The domestic violence shelters, The Prudence Crandall Center, The Umbrella, New Reach and The Women's Center of Greater Danbury are non-profit organizations that are dedicated to serving victims of domestic abuse. The domestic abuse shelters offer shelter and other services for adults and children that have been victims of violence and who are escaping both physical and psychological abuse. The Spooner House provides both housing to homeless individuals and families. They also provide emergency food and supplies for individuals and families with insufficient income to meet their needs.

We donate a portion of every batch of soaps we make to these organizations for the benefit of the women, children and families living temporarily in these shelters. In many cases, for instance, the women and children housed within the domestic abuse shelters have suffered monumental abuse and arrive at the shelter with only the clothes on their backs. Although nothing can camouflage the pain these victims have endured, sharing products that are so necessary yet beautiful and luxurious can act as an expression of our compassion.

Clean Hub

Building resilient plastic collection systems is the fastest, most cost-effective, and sustainable solution for protecting our oceans. But depending on where you live, the community may not have the means to deal with plastic in a sustainable way. That’s where Cleanhub comes in. For every product you buy from one of their sustainable brand partners (including Pig & Flower), they collect 1kg of plastic before it can end up in our oceans.

 

Cleanhub empowers local communities to set up collection businesses at scale by incentivizing the collection and safe disposal of non-recyclable plastics. Their digital platform allows collection groups to hand over their collected plastic to a network of certified plastic treatment and recovery partners. Farm Animal Sanctuaries

​

We donate a portion of every purchase to animal rescues and sanctuaries, where compassionate people work to save animals who would otherwise be destined for slaughter. This may include animals that have escaped slaughter or animals that can no longer be used, even if they are nowhere near end of life. The animals then get to live out the rest of their lives in loving environments. This is the way most of us want to imagine animals living but is not the case. Farmed animals live very short lives, just a fraction of their natural lives, most of them in horrific conditions that would make many of us sick, at the very least. Animal Sanctuaries not only provide lifelong care for rescued animals, but they provide education to community members locally and online. The work they do to pull back the curtain on animal agriculture is not only noble, but it is hard work, and we hope to provide a bit of relief by sharing our profits with them.
